What the creatives of Milton Keynes said

I could start by saying I am not a crafty person or that I am not good at (insert any craft). But the reality for me is that it takes a good teacher to give me that push to start something. And Bolly is exactly that person: full of passion, energy, excitement for any type of craft. She made the session feel effortless and achievable, guiding us at every step; it felt more like a hangout with friends, rather than a chore where absolute beginners touch for first time a sewing machine (get it?) All this to the immaculate soundtrack of 90s & 00s pop anthems & the real hosts, Chief Emotional Support Officers, Boba & Mochi.

10/10 would do it again (and recklessly purchase a sewing machine in the process), Bolly is an absolute gem 💎

I was initially slightly nervous about taking on the task of sewing a bag from scratch! I hadn’t used a sewing machine since secondary school! Our host Bolly couldn’t have been anymore helpful and gracious with her time and skills whilst mentoring during the session. The instructions were easy to follow and we were allowed to go at our own pace. I was full of pride for myself and the entire group with our final result! The bags looked great and were really unique! I left with a new found confidence in using the sewing machine and an urge to use it more to make more creations!

Such a lovely day! It’s so satisfying to enter the room with 0 knowledge on sewing and leave the room with a nicely crafted bag. Bolly is a great host and a patient teacher, we had a lot of fun. For a couple of hours I managed to de-connect from everything else and just be present! I’m quite proud with the result too!

The craft session was amazing. Bolly is an excellent teacher, you’ll learn valuable skills. She taught us how to use the tools and showed us step by step how to make the bag. It was easy to follow, even without any experience. I felt very proud of myself after completing the bag. It was a really enjoyable experience.

Bolly is a natural teacher - she is passionate, kind, and patient. Having never used a sewing machine before, I decided to try something completely new. In just five hours, I created the cutest reversible bag!! I couldn’t believe I managed that in such a short time with zero experience, but with Bolly’s guidance, it felt easy and natural.

I loved the session so much and felt so inspired that just a few days later, I made a completely unplanned purchase and bought my own sewing machine! Thank you, Bolly, for unlocking a wonderful new creative hobby for me :)

Bolly is incredibly patient and encouraging, and she makes learning to sew feel much less intimidating. I’ve learnt so much with her help, and she’s made the whole process so much fun! I’ve gone from never having touched a sewing machine to making a bag and a dress, all thanks to her guidance.

Most importantly, Bolly encourages you to embrace the mistakes, not take it too seriously, and just give things a go. I definitely got much further than I would have on my own and had far more fun along the way!

Having Bolly host a private workshop for my family and I was extremely exciting and very helpful. She was extremely patient with us and gave us all individual support and guidance. Bolly went above and beyond with the fabric prep and ensuring everyone was accommodated.

Everything Bolly taught us was helpful and easy to understand. She shared her top tips and gave us the confidence to complete our bag projects. Bolly is a great teacher and learning from her has been the best sewing experience ever

What an amazing atmosphere! 2h of crafty fun, snacks and incredible company. Everyone is super welcoming and even if you feel insecure about your skills, no need to worry. Bolly will make sure you feel comfortable.

Big plus if you’re an animal lover, because the two fur babies are absolutely adorable!

I had such a lovely evening at the Bring Your Own Project social! It was such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and everyone was really friendly. There was a great mix of crafts going on, from painting and diamond art to embroidery, but the best thing is that you can bring whatever project you enjoy.

The music was a lovely touch too, a nice background playlist that made the evening feel cosy without being too loud or overpowering. There were also some really lovely homemade baked goods and drinks provided, which was such a nice extra and made the whole evening feel even more welcoming.

The host was incredibly welcoming and personable, which made it really easy to settle in and feel comfortable. It was such a nice way to spend an evening, especially if you enjoy crafting but also want a bit of company while you do it.

I’ll definitely be going again and would absolutely recommend it!

Everyone I’ve met at the craft socials has been really friendly and easy to talk to. Bolly creates a homely and welcoming atmosphere; conversation flows and it’s fun to see what other people are working on and chat about each others’ hobbies. I’m really pleased I found this group and would encourage anyone with a creative hobby to give it a go.
