Welcome to The Craft & Current Club

12 March 2026

How it all started

I moved to Milton Keynes in 2023 and, for a while, my social life relied entirely on my dog, Mochi. But once Mochi retired”from networking at three years old, I stopped making friends. I found myself spending endless hours sewing alone. Don’t get me wrong, I love the craft, but something is missing when you’re always doing it solo.

My soul sisters (shout-out to Jen, Erin, and Tamara) were the ones who first pushed me to celebrate my skills. They used to drive all the way from London to visit me, I would cook a delicious meal and I would prepare a craft for us all to enjoy while chatting away. Now that they’ve spread their wings internationally, I miss that creative spark dearly, and of course, I miss them.

I realised I didn’t want to force my local friends into a hobby they didn’t love, and I was tired of “aligning the stars” of busy lives. I stopped waiting for my life to sync up with others and decided to create the space I was looking for.

The Experience

The Craft & Current Club is a home studio in Milton Keynes where being slow and intentional is the whole point. We believe we create better when we create together.

  • Craft Socials (BYOP): This isn’t just for sewists! Bring your knitting, scrapbooking, or crochet and join the conversation with other local Milton Keynes makers.
  • Sewcial Sundays: A dedicated space for sewists to tackle their projects with other sewists. Sometimes the best ideas spark from many great minds that shares the same interest!
  • Workshops: Small, cosy sessions for those ready to learn the essentials of a sewing machine and make something they’ll be proud to tell the world “I made it!”.

The Vibe

Expect good tunes, your favourite brew, and a very warm welcome from our Chief Vibes Officers, Mochi and Boba.

This is a creative home for your hands and your heart—a place to put the phone in your bag, fail out loud, and find your “Current”. It’s not a formal school or a cold classroom; it’s a neighbourhood gathering. It’s intimate, zero-pressure, and yes… you can sit with us, even if you don’t wear a pink apron.

Whether you’re holding a finished project or just have a vague idea for one, there is a spot for you here.
