The story
Creating a club that I wish existed in Milton Keynes
I started The Craft & Current Club because I looked around Milton Keynes and saw plenty of classrooms and plenty of shops, but nowhere for us to just be. I wanted to create a space where the craft is the reason we meet, but the conversation is the reason we stay.
This isn’t a school where you’re graded on your precision; it’s a creative clubhouse. It’s where you can make, create, build what ever your heart desire.
Whether you’re an MK8 local or a brave soul willing to travel for the vibe, this is your creative space. It’s a space where the ideas are flowing and the ‘current’ is always high. I’m just here to host the tables where the magic happens.
The welcome committee
Mochi — Chief High-five Officer
Our professional greeter and head of social strategy. Mochi has never met a stranger he didn’t love, and he’s a firm believer that every breakthrough deserves a high-five (and a snack).
Boba — Chief Nap Officer
The master of studio atmosphere. Boba specialises in finding the absolute best napping spots. He takes his rest very seriously, but doesn’t mind a cuddle either.

Breaking down the name
Why The Craft & Current Club
I chose the name because it captures the two sides of our world—the slow satisfaction of making something and the social buzz of the community.
The Craft.
The hands-on stuff. The slow, satisfying magic of actually making something with your own two hands.
&
The Current.
The social electricity. The gossip, the shared coffee, and the spark you only get when hanging out in person.
The Result.
The Craft is what we make, but the Current is the energy and the friends we make while doing it.
